I’m really excited to announce that I’ll be traveling to Michigan’s Wilderness State Park with a fine group of people for the Cabin Time 4 roving residency for the first week in February. This trip promises to be super cool, and though it is not free it will generate a lot of work that could ideally pay for itself. $500 and I would do a little better than breaking even on travel expenses and materials costs. Another $150 on top of that and 2 full days of printshop time would be paid for. This feels weird; let’s get to some NPR prizes:

A. REID’S CABIN TIME PRE-ORDER (expect a mid to late March delivery on most items)

$5 COFFEE DATE: a postcard from the field, including birdwatching reports, weather updates, love notes, etc. THIS SHIPS FAST, like on my way out of Michigan fast!

$10 PHOTOCOPIER: a zine-formatted version of the essay and other writings. Topics to be covered: representation through local emblems, landlocked coastline, the history of the double-headed eagle dating back to the Byzantine empire

$15 BROADSIDE ENTHUSIAST: receive 1 of 3 small(ish) letterpress posters. Content’s a mystery TBD, also, my pick.

$40 PRINTSHOP HELP: don’t be mad that you didn’t get to pick your print, get all 3 of 3 posters

$65 SCOUT’S HONOR: you probably have a cool skill that you wish more people would ask you about on the regular, but no one does because it’s not an activity recognized by a scouting authority through merit badge distribution. LET ME HELP!  You pick a topic and receive a fully custom merit badge hand-embroidered on felt.

$100 WORLD’S BEST FAN: 3 prints and a custom badge!!!!
